HIV Risk Assessment

Evaluate your HIV risk factors

All information is confidential

No Tests Required

This assessment helps evaluate your risk based on your responses. You don't need any prior medical tests or lab results to complete this assessment.

Remember: Only an HIV test can confirm your status. This tool helps you understand your risk level and when testing might be recommended.

What to consider:

  • Unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex
  • Sharing needles, syringes, or other injection equipment
  • Having multiple sexual partners
  • Having a sexually transmitted infection (STI)
  • Receiving blood transfusions or organ transplants (in areas with inadequate screening)

⚠️ Important: If you believe you may have been exposed to HIV in the past 72 hours, Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) may be available. PEP is most effective when started within 24-72 hours after potential exposure.

Common early symptoms (may appear 2-4 weeks after exposure):

  • Fever or chills
  • Rash (often on trunk, face, or limbs)
  • Fatigue or extreme tiredness
  • Sore throat
  • Swollen lymph nodes (neck, armpits, groin)
  • Muscle aches and joint pain
  • Headache
  • Night sweats
  • Mouth ulcers

Note: Many people experience no symptoms at all. Symptoms alone cannot confirm HIV status - only testing can.

Note: This assessment is for informational purposes only. HIV testing is the only way to know your status. Testing is confidential and available through healthcare providers and testing centers.
