This assessment evaluates your risk based on age, family history, and other factors you can answer yourself. You don't need any prior medical tests, mammograms, or genetic testing results to complete this assessment. If you know your breast density from a previous mammogram, you can include it, but it's optional.

Understanding family history:

  • First-degree relative: Mother, sister, or daughter who had breast cancer
  • Second-degree relative: Aunt, grandmother, or cousin who had breast cancer
  • No family history: No known relatives with breast cancer

What are genetic factors?

Genetic mutations like BRCA1, BRCA2, or other known genetic mutations that increase breast cancer risk. You would know this if you've had genetic testing done, or if multiple family members have had breast or ovarian cancer at a young age.

What is breast density?

Breast density refers to the amount of fibrous and glandular tissue in your breasts compared to fatty tissue. This is typically reported on mammogram results.
